- Honey
- Gums
- Resins
- Fibres

Gum Collection
Gum is a natural plant product, widely used in many industries. This pathological product is produced by the plant in response to an injury, mediated by a hormone. To obtain more yield, tribals tend to injure the plant severely and unscientifically causing environmental and economical damage.
CSV has developed a simple scientific method to tap the gum yielding plant that will increase the gum production as well protect the plant from damage. In this method the trunk of the gum yielding tree is injected by a chemical ‘Ethephon’ in small quantity. Usually some non gum yielding trees too give fair quantity of gum by this method. CSV team has identified about 75 plant species in Vidarbha as a potential source of gum.
