During the 10th and 11th Five-year plan CSV worked as a Mother NGO in the field of Watershed Management, for the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Maharashtra. Under this program, CSV disseminated Land Cover Management technologies and methodologies to Government and Non-Government organizations of Wardha, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Bhandara, and Gondia.
As the mother NGO the CSV transferred appropriate technologies like Biotechnology, Organic Farming, Food Processing, Processing of NTFP, Herbal Medicine, Natural Dying, etc. to thousands of farmers and SHG members of 220 villages of Vidarbha region. In many cases, the trained beneficiary could successfully convert technologies into trade.
